I do photo sessions in the Houston area only. If you are outside the Houston area, but travel here, every attempt will be made to accomodate your schedule if you contact me in advance. I do not maintain a studio; your session will take place at your location. You are responsible for your own hair, makeup, and clothing. I can do a session by itself or as part of a web design package.

My fees for a photo session are:

One hour session: $200. Two hour session: $300. Two hour shared session (two models): $350.

I offer the shared session because typically a lot of my time is spent waiting for the model to change clothes. In the two model session, I will be shooting one model while the other is changing, so no time will be wasted. If you have a friend who is also interested in a session, you can split the cost of a two hour session. You will receive as many (or more) photos as you would in a one hour session, but you will both save $25.

This is digital photography. You will receive a CDROM containing the raw photos. If you hire me to produce your web site, I will do all the image preparation (cropping, exposure and saturation adjustment, adding backgrounds, etc. using Photoshop CS4) for no extra charge.

I require half the total fee when I arrive for the session and the second half when the photos are delivered.

After the photos are taken, the job is only begun. The images still have to be properly formatted for web display. Even if the photos are perfect, they have to be cropped, sized, and formatted for the web.

But allow me to let you in on a dirty little secret - photos are rarely perfect.

The secret to great photos is to take a LOT of them - and then throw most of them away! The single great shot that you see in the final work usually means that 10 good photos (and a few terrible ones) were ruthlessly culled.

After the winnowing, the slect few photos have to be made ready for the web. I use Photoshop CS4
(the industry standard) for my post production work.

Should you, or should you not alter your photos? Obviously, it's a bad thing when you meet a new client and his first words are, "Who are you?" But a lot of otherwise great photos are ruined by the odd shadow, the object in the background that we don't want to show, the stray hair or even (shudder) the dreaded zit that just popped up that morning! Let's take a look at how photos can be improved with "Digital Airbrushing" or even transformed into Works of Art!.
